This week, Trump cut funding to the World Health Organization. While I won’t bore you with the politics behind this decision (we promise never to get too into the weeds on topics that… suck) it’s important to recognize the effect this has on other organizations. UNICEF is channeling funding from the WHO into their programs on the ground in 190 countries all over the world to bring personal protective equipment, treatments and other hospital gear to those most in need.

UNICEF is uniquely positioned to crush it in this space, as they led the World’s fight against Ebola in 2014. Their work also includes the critical aspect of teaching people in developing nations how to wash their hands, sanitize their homes, etc. While there’s much talk of the US beginning to look at reopening again soon, Coronavirus is still coming for smaller towns. These towns already have less hospitals, healthcare workers and infrastructure to treat the virus.

Just $5 dollars (ok maybe even less than your morning Starbucks!) will donate 200 gloves to health care workers through the UNICEF COVID initiative. No contribution is too small.
